A Complete List of Podcasts for the Automotive Independent Aftermarket

I think back to 2002 when I opened my first auto repair shop. I was great at fixing cars but I knew nothing about running a business. I thought coaches were only for athletes, and what the heck is a 20 Group?

Sure, we had the internet, but information still was not at a premium like it is today.

Today, there is no excuse. Information is everywhere and it’s super easy to find. We have the benefit of social proof to tell us who is legit and who is full of… it.

We have Facebook groups, YouTube channels, and more podcasts than we know what to do with.

In this article, I’m listing out every serious podcast I know of that’s related to the automotive independent aftermarket. I specify “serious” because most podcasts never make it past 5 episodes. So the ones that start and stop, don’t run on a consistent schedule, and are treated like red-headed stepchildren, will not be listed here.

Also, it’s nearly impossible to get reputable statistics on podcasts because of the many different listening platforms. I would love to order these podcasts by downloads, but that information isn’t readily available.

So here’s how I’m going to do this. Of the list, there are 3 podcasts that I would consider “major” podcasts. I’m going to start with them. These are the podcasts that are the most well known and have the most listenership. After those 3 podcasts are the rest. These podcasts may cover more niche topics, such as our podcast, “The Auto Repair Marketing Podcast”. I’m going to list these in alphabetical order.

If I’m missing a podcast, please let me know and I’ll add it to the list.

Started by Carm Capriotto in 2015, Remarkable Results Radio is the longest-running podcast for the independent aftermarket. As I write this in August 2023, Remarkable Results Radio has published over 1,425 episodes. Every show covers all topics in the auto repair space, and Carm has undoubtedly become the voice of the aftermarket. Carm is a master interviewer, and he and his daughter, Tracy, take pride in putting out an incredibly high-quality production. I have met countless shop owners who attribute their success to what they’ve learned by listening to Remarkable Results Radio.

Within the Remarkable Results Radio brand, you’ll find ‘Town Hall Academy,’ a single-subject webinar format with a panel of guests to discuss trending topics that provide insights and ideas, ‘Aftermarket Weekly,’ an intimate one one-on-one weekly shop tour/trending topic interview with Carm, and the anything goes ‘CarmCast.’ But RRR isn’t where it ends. Remarkable Results Radio is the flagship podcast of The Aftermarket Radio Network. The Aftermarket Radio Network includes Business by the Numbers, Diagnosing the Aftermarket A to Z, The Weekly Blitz, and The Auto Repair Marketing Podcast. All of these shows are listed below. ARN is approaching the two million download milestone for all shows as we continue to deliver our passion to ‘Advance the Independent Service Aftermarket.’

David and Lucas are real and raw. Some might call them irreverent, and that’s not a bad thing. Listening to these guys is like taking part in a conversation that may happen in just about any shop across America, but there’s a lot of depth to the conversation.

These guys love the industry and they pour their heart, soul, and time into helping fellow shop owners in mass through their podcast, as well as in one-on-one situations that occur almost daily. They are an example of shop owners helping shop owners at its best.

Stories reveal those clues that help us in our own journey to becoming more successful. When we choose to share like this, we not only empower ourselves, but we empower this great industry to become better together. So in this podcast, each week, you’ll hear incredible stories from those from all parts of our industry. Owners, Service Advisors, technicians, those who work for companies that serve our industry, investors, and more. This isn’t just another interview podcast. He's a mechanic at heart who loves fixing things that are broken, which is why he loves marketing so much.

"Digging in and figuring out why a business' marketing isn't working is a lot like it was when he was elbows deep into a car that no one else could fix. When you figure it out, there's nothing else like it."

To get to do this for auto repair shop owners combines his passions, and he couldn't be more excited about helping shop owners.
