I think back to 2002 when I opened my first auto repair shop. I was great at fixing cars but I knew nothing about running a business. I thought coaches were only for athletes, and what the heck is a 20 Group?
Sure, we had the internet, but information still was not at a premium like it is today.
Today, there is no excuse. Information is everywhere and it’s super easy to find. We have the benefit of social proof to tell us who is legit and who is full of… it.
We have Facebook groups, YouTube channels, and more podcasts than we know what to do with.
In this article, I’m listing out every serious podcast I know of that’s related to the automotive independent aftermarket. I specify “serious” because most podcasts never make it past 5 episodes. So the ones that start and stop, don’t run on a consistent schedule, and are treated like red-headed stepchildren, will not be listed here.
Also, it’s nearly impossible to get reputable statistics on podcasts because of the many different listening platforms. I would love to order these podcasts by downloads, but that information isn’t readily available.
So here’s how I’m going to do this. Of the list, there are 3 podcasts that I would consider “major” podcasts. I’m going to start with them. These are the podcasts that are the most well known and have the most listenership. After those 3 podcasts are the rest. These podcasts may cover more niche topics, such as our podcast, “The Auto Repair Marketing Podcast”. I’m going to list these in alphabetical order.
If I’m missing a podcast, please let me know and I’ll add it to the list.

Started by Carm Capriotto in 2015, Remarkable Results Radio is the longest-running podcast for the independent aftermarket. As I write this in August 2023, Remarkable Results Radio has published over 1,425 episodes. Every show covers all topics in the auto repair space, and Carm has undoubtedly become the voice of the aftermarket. Carm is a master interviewer, and he and his daughter, Tracy, take pride in putting out an incredibly high-quality production. I have met countless shop owners who attribute their success to what they’ve learned by listening to Remarkable Results Radio.
Within the Remarkable Results Radio brand, you’ll find ‘Town Hall Academy,’ a single-subject webinar format with a panel of guests to discuss trending topics that provide insights and ideas, ‘Aftermarket Weekly,’ an intimate one one-on-one weekly shop tour/trending topic interview with Carm, and the anything goes ‘CarmCast.’ But RRR isn’t where it ends. Remarkable Results Radio is the flagship podcast of The Aftermarket Radio Network. The Aftermarket Radio Network includes Business by the Numbers, Diagnosing the Aftermarket A to Z, The Weekly Blitz, and The Auto Repair Marketing Podcast. All of these shows are listed below. ARN is approaching the two million download milestone for all shows as we continue to deliver our passion to ‘Advance the Independent Service Aftermarket.’

Frank Leutz recently made this Facebook post that made it incredibly easy for me to describe his podcast. I couldn’t have said it better, so I didn’t. I copied, pasted, and edited to the third-person.
In 2016, Frank Butkus-Leutz teamed up with East Valley Institute of Technology, EVIT and launched Wrench Nation – an automotive lifestyle platform to specifically highlight the incredible folks, events & topics of the automotive industry while providing a positive message for an audience made up of parents of young students, potential talents that are just entering the industry, car enthusiasts, automotive operators, and technicians.
With a slew of guests from across the globe, Frank is extremely grateful to share with you such amazing stories and what all centers around the passion & hard work of many that will never quit, always smile & love what they do.
Wrench Nation has just launched their 300th episode and they continue to be a force for knowledge and positivity within the industry. Frank is a big personality and it’s hard not to get excited and amped up when listening to him.
Entertaining, empowering and educational automotive news and car culture, featuring guest interviews from all over the world, with host Frank Leutz, shop owner and ASE Certified technician.
The Changing the Industry Podcast, formerly known as The ASOG Podcast, is hosted by shop owners, David Roman and Lucas Underwood. This podcast is as entertaining as it is informative. Warning – you need to be careful about drinking anything while you’re listening because it may end up coming out of your nose.
David and Lucas are real and raw. Some might call them irreverent, and that’s not a bad thing. Listening to these guys is like taking part in a conversation that may happen in just about any shop across America, but there’s a lot of depth to the conversation.
These guys love the industry and they pour their heart, soul, and time into helping fellow shop owners in mass through their podcast, as well as in one-on-one situations that occur almost daily. They are an example of shop owners helping shop owners at its best.
This podcast is dedicated to changing the automotive industry for the better, one conversation at a time.
Whether you’re a technician, vendor, business owner, or car enthusiast, we hope to inspire you to improve for your customers, your careers, your businesses, and your families.

Success Leaves Clues. This common phrase highlights the simple fact that we don’t have to find success all on our own. In an industry internally known for individualism, this is a powerful but important shift to the view of finding success. Host Thomas Hays has been in the automotive industry for over 10 years. Through his experience and work, he’s heard and been a part of so many powerful stories. Stories of success, stories of failure. Funny stories, sad stories, and through them all, one thread is common… When we share our stories 2 things happen. 1. We realize we aren’t alone in our own struggles and 2. Stories reveal those clues that help us in our own journey to becoming more successful. When we choose to share like this, we not only empower ourselves, but we empower this great industry to become better together. So in this podcast, each week, you’ll hear incredible stories from those from all parts of our industry. Owners, Service Advisors, technicians, those who work for companies that serve our industry, investors, and more. This isn’t just another interview podcast. In this podcast, our guests will not only share their stories, but they will reveal the clues to their success through practical teaching and training provided on each episode.
My name is Jeff, and I’d like to welcome you on a journey of reflection and insight into the tolls and triumphs of a career in automotive repair. So pour yourself a strong coffee or grab a cold Canadian beer and get ready for some great conversation.
