The following article was originally published on our main agency website. We’ve gone through the process now of setting up these Google Guarantee Ads for a couple of roofers and they’re seeing great results. We know this is going to be huge for auto repair shops as well. We hope you find value in this article. Let us know if you have any questions about Google Guarantee Ads or the process of becoming verified. The best way to do that is to join our Facebook group – “Auto Repair Marketing Mastermind” – and ask in there, that way others benefit from your questions and comments.

Before we get to marketing your band on Facebook, we first have to make sure you have everything set up right. Whether you’re a solo act or a large band you need to be sure you have your have a Facebook page and NOT a Facebook personal profile. There IS a difference. Once you have your Facebook page set up right you’ll need to start sharing content and “liking” other pages. You should be “liking” the bands that influence you as well as other local bands. It’s also a good idea to like venues where you’ve played, and the ones you hope to play.

WHEN SHOULD YOU POST?

This is a common question that comes up when talking about social media. Facebook gives you great insights on when your fan base is online. You should be posting at least once a day at your peak times. But, be sure to try different posting times, because your most engaged audience might not be on at your peak times. Don’t be afraid to post more than once a day. However, I wouldn’t post more than 3 times a day.

WHAT TYPE OF CONTENT SHOULD YOU BE SHARING?

Be sure to not only share your tour and event schedule, but also your music. If you’re a new up and coming artist, some people may not be as inclined to come hear you play as others. They may not be willing to take the drive to hear you play or purchase your music. I suggest putting out samples or even a full-length song or two via SoundCloud. SoundCloud is a free service that allows you to share your music digitally. I also suggest doing covers of popular songs and posting them to YouTube, and sharing them on Facebook. This also gives your fans an idea of what you can do.

Some of you may think that this all sounds great, but you don’t have the time or want to just focus on your music. If this is you, then you’re in luck!  5 Stones Media has developed two branding packages specifically designed to help up and coming artists take their band to the next level.
