Instagram For Your Brand...Yes Or No?

Instagram For Your Brand…Yes Or No?

The following article was originally published on our main agency website. We’ve gone through the process now of setting up these Google Guarantee Ads for a couple of roofers and they’re seeing great results. We know this is going to be huge for auto repair shops as well. We hope you find value in this article. Let us know if you have any questions about Google Guarantee Ads or the process of becoming verified. The best way to do that is to join our Facebook group – “Auto Repair Marketing Mastermind” – and ask in there, that way others benefit from your questions and comments.

Is your brand on Instagram?  With the popularity of Facebook and Twitter, some brands can be forgetting the audience to be found on Instagram.  Instagram users are 58 times more likely to like, comment or share posts than Facebook users and 120 times more likely than Twitter users.   Many users are saying bye-bye to Facebook and Twitter and shifting their time to Instagram.  So what’s the big deal about Instagram?  It’s a question that many brands are asking themselves.

  • Content

Content on Instagram is more shareable, easier to understand and visual.  Customers and clients want to be visually connected to you and your brand.  Users tend to find content on Instagram more engaging and something they would likely share.

  • Simplicity

Instagram has a simple layout and is personal.  Not to mention, it’s very mobile friendly.  Since most of us are mobile-only users, that’s a big deal!  Instagram is incredibly easy to navigate and you primarily only see posts from the people you follow.  This leaves out a lot of the ads and things we are seeing on other platforms.

  • Contest

Instagram makes photo contest a breeze.  Brands can ask their followers to participate in a specific contest by simply uploading a photo and using the designated hashtag.  Then, users can search through all the photos specific to that hashtag.

  • Promo Codes

Some successful brands on Instagram are rewarding their followers with promo codes.  They can quickly offer a promo code to the “first 30 customers” or such.  Customers can then type that code in at checkout on the company website.  Brands are finding great success with these types of contest or offers.

  • Feature Customers

Ask customers to share photos of them using your products, but be sure to include a hashtag for them to use.  Pick one a week to feature on your Instagram!  That’s the great thing about Instagram.  It’s fun and personal!  People want to visually connect to your brand.

  • Events

Add a live Instagram feed to your event!  With just a little pre-planning, you can add a very unique way for followers to show love to your brand.  Give the event hashtag to anyone attending and ask them to take pictures during the event using the hashtag.  The photos can stream across your conference TV or computer!  People always love to see themselves on the big screen!

If your brand isn’t on Instagram, it should be!  Instagram users are skyrocketing and now is the time to put your brand in front of them!  Just as you would on any social media platform, you should continue to post engaging content that your followers want to see.   Instagram continues to be fun and personal so feel free to have just a little fun with your followers!
