Marketing Strategist

Summary:

The Marketing Strategist is a central role at Shop Marketing Pros. You will be at the heart of client messaging and get to work with every team member to develop a client’s brand message across multiple channels including social media, email, and digital advertising. This position is part social media manager, part email marketing expert, part digital advertiser and is always dynamic. The right candidate must love to communicate for our clients and also have a healthy dose of creativity, adaptability, and stamina. 

We are looking for an entry to mid-level candidate for this position.

Bonus Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • Proven work experience in digital marketing
  • Demonstrable experience managing email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Social Media Scheduling Tools such as Buffer, HootSuite, PromoRepublic, etc
  • Advertising Platforms such as Facebook Ad Manager & Google Ad Manager
  • Experience with Facebook Business Manager
  • Experience with email marketing software like Constant Contact, MailChimp, Infusionsoft, or ClickFunnels is helpful 
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google PPC campaigns 
  • Proficiency in Google’s productivity suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) is considered a plus

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Customer communication – in-person, email and on phone
  • Continuously engage each client’s audience through social media
  • Create a content calendar for clients 
  • Develop clear goals and objectives
  • Facilitate the creation of unique, high-quality, and relevant social content
  • Leverage analytics tools to track progress and analyze client reports
  • Manage projects in internal project management software which will be taught
  • Ensure project milestones and work orders are effectively scheduled in project management software
  • Monitor timelines to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Work with team to prepare monthly status reports
  • Attend and take notes during client meetings
  • Demonstrate clear and effective communication when dealing with both internal staff and clients
  • Input and update client info electronically
  • Proofread written communications and documents
  • Plans and executes email, social media, and advertising campaigns.
  • Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing
  • Plans, executes, and measures experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborates with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Utilizes strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Identifies critical conversion points and drop off points and optimizes user funnels

Covid-19 Working Considerations:

Most of our team works from home. 
However, there is an office in Hammond, La if you choose to commute.
